SERVICES | Supervision and Consultation
I have been a teacher and supervisor of both doctoral level psychology students and masters level counseling students for more than 35 years. For ten years I taught a course in the theory and practice of supervision. I have also delivered a variety of continuing education courses in supervision for experienced members of the profession. I find it a valuable learning experience for myself to mentor those preparing to enter the field and also to be available to provide advice on some of the dilemmas my colleagues presently in practice occasionally encounter. At the present time, about 20% of the work I do in my practice consists of providing supervision or consultation to fellow professionals.
Among the services I provide to colleagues are:
- Ongoing case supervision
- Consultation on technical issues involved in a single difficult case
- Consultation on ethical dilemmas
- Mentoring of practice development
- Consultation on practice management issues
